3D Joshua Tree
/I take a lot of pictures, as you Cali49ers have obviously discovered. Writing these posts and sharing photos of places I've visited is almost as fun as the adventure itself. I am currently shooting with a Nikon D7000 and my favorite lens is a Nikkor 18-200 zoom. I think it takes pretty good pictures overall, as long as I keep the sensor clean (it's amazing the amount of dust that can enter a camera body while changing lenses).
Now you're probably saying to yourself, "what's with the mention of "3D" in the title of this post? That Nikon doesn't shoot in 3D. What's this guy trying to pull?" And you're right. I don't take any 3D pictures.
Murbachi, however, the intrepid 3D photographer and explorer, does. Yes, he does exist. And he takes some great 3D pictures. He is currently working on creating a website to showcase and share his 3D photos.
There are apparently several different ways to shoot and present 3D photographs. I'm going to leave that to Murbachi to explain once he is ready. But in the meantime, here are a few examples of his work, in anaglyph 3D. These images will require the red/blue glasses to view properly. Click on an image to view it in larger size.
One last thing, the bigger the screen you can use to view, the better. And 1080p is also optimal.
October 17th, 2014 Update/Breaking News: Murbachi has started adding pictures and prose to his website, www.joshuatree3d.com. Scoot on over there to take a look at some great 3D images, he's adding content almost daily as he has a lot of pictures to share. Click HERE to check it out.
